“Ermioni is quiet yet lively, a bit off the tourist track with a real sense of community (don\u2019t miss the local market on Thursday mornings!) There is lots to visit in the surrounding area too, including numerous beaches, caves – including the Cave of Franchthi, which housed the oldest human settlement in the world (23,000BC), the impressive Katafyki Gorge, Epidavros with its 2500 year old theatre and also the islands of Poros, Hydra, and Spetses.<\/span>“<\/em><\/h4>\n
“I would recommend Hydra island for a day trip – jumping off the cave and shopping are the highlights. Local beaches within a short journey are numerous from quiet to trendy. My daughter liked Lepitsa beach best. The wind can blow but in summer it is a relief! The advantage of Ermioni is that it is an isthmus so there is a choice which side to dine out – and so the wind or the sun can always be avoided. Grilled octopus and ouzo was a revelation but fresh fruit and veg are great as well. On Thursdays there is a market and I highly recommend on stocking up on fresh produce. Tomatoes just taste better.<\/span>“<\/em><\/h4>\n
“The apartment is fully equipped and very nicely decorated. In the kitchen there is even olive oil and herbs to cook, of course coffee, tea. In the fridge there was water and homemade sweets to welcome us, toys for little or bigger kids… Our daughter (3 years old) was fascinated. The bathroom also fully equipped, cleaning stuff was there. I was really positively impressed.<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n
This apartment is an ideal place for a family. It is spacious and very clean. The large balcony has a beautiful view over mountains and sea.<\/span>“<\/em><\/h4>\n

Tout est extr\u00eamement propre et l’\u00e9quipement est complet, d’autant que les propri\u00e9taires ont la gentillesse de vous laisser \u00e0 disposition du th\u00e9, du caf\u00e9, des fruits et m\u00eame des p\u00e2tisseries maison. “It was an excellent location along with a spectacular view and natural environment. Nikos and Yiota (the owners of the property) were really friendly and helpfull. The rental property was equipped with all the necessary amenities and facilities.<\/span>“<\/em><\/h4>\n
Before we left for our fortnight in Ermioni, Nikos and Yota (the owners) sent us masses of appetite whetting background information about Ermioni and the surrounding area, as well as directions by road from Athens airport. When we arrived Yota met us at the port and showed us the way up the hill to the Sea Urchin Studio and also looked after us magnificently, regularly presenting us with a range of sweet treats during our stay. The studio is ideally situated in a peaceful location at the top of the hill, 10-15 minutes walk through the narrow winding streets of old Ermioni to the port, which is really the centre of the village. The view from our balcony over the village and the bay beyond was stupendous! Most mornings we would watch the sun rise over the bay and then go for an early morning jog round the shore that runs along both sides of the peninsula and around Bisti \u2013 the wooded park beyond the village at the peninsula\u2019s tip (sometimes stopping briefly for a swim) before having breakfast at one of the many places to eat in the port, watching fishermen selling their catch. Apart from the balcony, the studio is well equipped with a 3 hob cooker and oven – no microwave – which is adequate for basic holiday cooking, and the old fashioned ceiling fan helped to keep us cool (there is also air conditioning, which we did not use).”<\/em>
\n<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/span><\/div>“This was our second visit to Ermioni and the Treehouse holiday home. We stayed in one of the two studios. A nice private & peaceful garden with furniture to eat outdoors, overlooks the village and the sea. The studio itself was much bigger than the average room size you would usually get for the same price. Again very tidy – spotless really- with a very well equipped kitchenette with all utensils in brand new condition, a new flat screen TV (28″ maybe?) and linen smelling home-fresh from the distance. After our previous experience in the larger family apartment, anything less would have been a disaster. We don’t know if it is always so, but we found a welcome pack more than enough to get us going the next morning which except tea, coffee, butter, milk, fruit, jam included a homemade “ravani” which we had to ask for the recipe. No compromises made, the large refrigerator had 3 bottled waters and fresh oranges to squeeze.<\/span>“<\/em><\/h4>\n

In the fridge waiting for us Yota had prepared a wonderful pasta salad and a superb ravini (cake). Little touches like this made us feel very welcome and Yota ensured that we had everything that we needed. In fact Pinetree is ideal for a family of four (although there were only three of us) because there is ample space, much more than we have been used to. The beds were comfortable and so was the large sofa although we spent almost all our time outside on the veranda enjoying the view. The view was the dividend of being above the town, together with the ability to park our hire car outside. It is an easy walk into Ermioni with the narrow streets providing some shade. Yota will provide all the information you need about the area including the many beaches (we failed to find only one). This is an apartment which easily qualifies for our very short ‘must return to’ list.<\/span>“<\/em><\/h4>\n

“The apartment is in a lovely position on top of the hill, with a gentle walk down to the port below, through narrow paved streets between typical Greek houses with bougainvillea spilling over their white walls. And what could be better than sitting having dinner by the sea watching the sun set and the moon rise, while the water laps gently against the harbour wall? Ermioni is a real place where Greek people live and work, so much more interesting than a tourist resort.<\/span> Even without a car we found plenty to keep us busy, swimming and walking, visiting the market and exploring the town, or taking the hydrofoil to beautiful Hydra.<\/span>“<\/em><\/h4>\n
<\/span><\/div>“The apartment was modern, cool, clean and very well equipped and presented. Bear in mind it is at the top of the old town hill (15 minutes lovely winding walk up hill) – but the result is wonderful views from the balcony. But the best bit is the relaxed, friendly, helpful welcome from Nicos and Yota. They helped orient us and then gave us brilliant suggestions for things to do in our precious few days: eating places, outings to a pre-historic cave, a wonderful beach, and tips for seeing Epidavros (a must see). <\/span>We hired a small car in town – good car, friendly service- and we’d strongly recommend a car to get around to see the countryside, coast and sights (like Nafplio). All in all a brilliant place. We loved Ermioni and will be back and for sure staying at one of Nicos and Yota’s apartments.<\/span>“<\/em><\/h4>\n
“We stayed at the wonderful Tree House for 3 weeks in the fall of 2010 for our 35th wedding anniversary trip to Greece.\u00a0<\/span>Ermioni is the perfect hideaway with plenty of history and ancient sites to explore, all within minutes from the front door. Nikos and his family were perfect hosts and we were even spoiled by Yota\u2019s delicious cooking! We spent many days hiking through the city and photographing the lovely architecture of this quaint village. The Tree House itself is absolutely perfect. We felt right at home there. It is situated high on the hill with views of Ermioni from all around. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony, photographed sunrises, drank local wine in the evenings and cooked many of our meals with food from the local market and also from the weekly farmer\u2019s market down by the water front. We wanted to experience Greece by actually living in a small fishing village rather than being a tourist and staying in a hotel. The Tree House and Ermioni gave us all that and more. We highly recommend the Tree House and we will definitely be back.<\/span>“<\/em><\/h4>\n
“The Treehouse sits atop a hill offering beautiful views of the sea and surrounding hills. The quality of the light is remarkable; and the sea a deep blue that is barely believable. The house itself is clean, comfortable, modern. We were a family of three (one a very active 22 month old) plus an uncle. Plenty of space to move about, a courtyard and a veranda that offered both shade and sun – and a barbecue that we greatly enjoyed. We existed in a bubble of pleasure all the time we were there. We hope to return.<\/span>“<\/em><\/h4>\n
“We spent three weeks at the Treehouse in September’13, and we fell in love with the place. In desperate need of relaxation, sun and sea, we found exactly what we were looking for. We stayed there, day after day, on our private balcony enjoying the views of the whole village and the sea, in our private courtyard sunbathing and reading. Enjoying the quietness and the summer breeze and having a glass of rose wine or a Greek coffee every now and then.<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n
We also had a couple of great BBQs in our garden. And breakfast in the balcony which combined with the setting was a perfect start into the day.<\/span>“<\/em><\/h4>\n
