Agioi Anargiroi Monastery

The Monastery of Agioi (Saint) Anargyroi is located within walking distance of Ermioni. It is an easy 15-20 minutes walk from the Treehouse or just 2-3 minutes drive and can actually be seen from the parking area. At this location used to be an ancient temple dedicated to Asklipios. The monastery was probably built at the 11th century.

Its decoration and murals are impressive, influenced by Crete island. Visitors will also admire beautiful pictures of the Byzantine period. Moreover, the monastery has an important library with valuable old books. In 1st of July a big fair is taking place in the Monastery.

The monastery is probably the best place to join for Easter church services and especially on Good Friday, Saturday midnight service and the EasterSunday morning. It is more of a nice social event than a religious service.
